Mountains, Forests, and Rivers

Most of my photography work is about the topography of my neighborhood, the mountains, forests, and rivers of Northern New Hampshire.

Ultimately, I aim to subtly and indirectly convey my underlying sense of the world and what is to be valued in it.

My picture-taking is haphazard; nothing is planned. Generally, I leave my house with a small camera, with no expectations other than trying to capture a fleeting moment in the flow of time, or as Su Tung-p'o famously said:

"... as swift as fire to catch what was fleeting away,

for once a clear scene escapes us, it cannot be grasped again."
